In west Bengal every year madhyamik pass outs discontinue their studies due to socio economical conditions or due to lack of interest on studies. Nearly about 1 lakh 8 pass students discontinue their studies due to the above reasons.so to make such student’s self dependent west Bengal government have established The council in 2005 .This council is established for the 8 pass and madhyamik pass students who have discontinue their studies.
Eligibility:- for viii+ courses eligibility is 8 pass but students from class 10 ,11 ,12 ,graduation can do this course.students From any board can do this course no migration certificate is needed for this 8 pass course.For class 11 & 12 students who had pass class 10 from any board can do this level in any stream (science,commerce or arts).
Course fees:-about 300 RS for admission and RS 20 per month except for SC/ST and BPL card holders.
This council have (viii+) and (X+2) level of studies.

Pump operation & maintenance (POMT)

Maintenance & repairing of electrical domestic appliance (MRED)
Consumer & industrial electronic mechanics (CIEM)

Automobile service & maintenance (AUSM)
Advance refrigeration & air conditioning (ARAC)
Basic hydraulics (BAHD)
Computer fundamentals and programming (CFAP)
Electrical wiring & installation (EWAI)
Monochrome (B/W) &colour TV mechanics (MCTM)
